How can I allow web access to my development on the web as
The site works fine as http://localhost:8081 but I need to show my client what I am doing.
I have tried all sorts of advice on Google but nothing I have tried works.
I have tried installing and configuring the IIS Management but this ended up with a message telling me that port 8081 was already in use when I tried access to localhost:8081 , even though I can still can't access the development on the web. I ended up having
to do a full system restore just to get access back to the development site on my own computer.
In short, I need to know how to allow access to my development site on my computer via the web.
A simple step-by-step procedure would really be appreciated.

Which way do you want for your client to access your website? local or via internet?
If you need to access client to your website, then you may need to purchase a public domain name for your IP address from domain provider. Then they will bind your website with your static ip address.
Besides, both request from local or internet need host header. IIS allow user to share same port number as long as your have added the binding host header for your website.
Here provide the steps to diagnose which application has occupied the port number:
1）opern command prompt via Start->Run->cmd
2 ) input the command:
and check the local address to figure out which PID has used the 8081 port
3 ）input the command:
tasklist|findstr "your PID of 8081"
to figure out which application use the PID
4 )try to kill the process or application in task manager.
To add the host header, you could take the following steps:
1) Open IIS manager
2)navigate to your site level
5) input your (public IP| private IP) address and host name, port number. Select the protocol type
Once the site has a binding host header, the website will not be blocked any more.
Besides, Remember to add your website to IE 11 intranet in internet options->security->Local intranet->advanced and try to disable firewall and anti-virus.
