we have a brand new Windows 2008 R2 server where we installed PHP 5.3.27 and configured it using the PHP manager. Our application runs generally fine, but once in a while an HTTP 500 Error appears with absolutelly no error recorded in the PHP log (with error_reporting
= E_ALL & ~E_NOTICE & ~E_DEPRECATED). Having enabled tracking, we are able to see the following:
ErrorDescription C:\PHP\5_3_27\php-cgi.exe - The FastCGI process exited unexpectedly
HttpReason Internal Server Error
In a JMeter test with 9700 requests (500 repetitions per step), we have 27 failures, all of which show the same trace information as above. Within the 27 failures, there doesn't seem to be any pattern (i.e. failures ocurr on different steps of the test). The
same test ran with the same code, on PHP 5.3.10 but still with the same settings in the PHP.INI on a Windows 2003 server results in no errors.
We have tried - with no possitive results:
- Running also with PHP 5.3.10 on the 2008 server
- Set zend.enable_gc = Off
- Verified Instance MaxRequests = 10000 and even increased the environment variable PHP_FCGI_MAX_REQUESTS to 12000
- Re-installing the complete server from scratch
Is there anything we might be missing?
