    but i am running as computer administrator so that i dnt have the permission is just silly.

    Hi,

    This could occur if the machine name and the account you are running under are the same. Can you confirm if that is the case ? If that is your issue then the only workaround is to run the installation as a user name that does not match the machinename.

     If this is not your issue then can you zip up the files from the following location and send to  webpi at microsoft.com   ATT: Richard.

    C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\100\Setup Bootstrap\Log\<DateTimeStamp>
