Hello, I'm using the WebPI to deploy a package. The package creates a new site in IIS 7.
I need this site to use Windows Authentication. Is there a way to set this in the package?
(because the default is Anonymous enabled, Windows disabled, and I need the opposite...)

I am assuming you are referring to a Web Deployment package. You should be able to do this via parameters.xml , but off the top of my head I dont know the syntax for that. We have another forum here
http://forums.iis.net/1144.aspx for Web deployment questions. This might yield a quickker answer.

What I've found so far, is that at the end of manifest.xml, I can run an external app:
...but unfortunately, this doesn't seem to work, maybe some params are missing.

runCommand requires an absolute path to execute the batch file.
For more information on runCommand provider look here :

You're missing the MSDeploy.MSDeployKeyAttributeName="path"
<runcommand path="%windir%\temp\authListSvc\AuthListService.msi" isSource="True" MSDeploy.MSDeployKeyAttributeName="path" />
