  • Integrated Windows Authentication and Client Certificates

Hi. I would like to ask whether it is possible to enable both Integrated Windows Authentication and at the same time requiring a client certificate to access a site. The idea behind this is to be able to access the Logon prompt of Integrated Authentication only if the user has a valid certificate. I...

  • Re: How can I clear saved creds in IE?

Thanks for the reply. I tried that but it didn't seem to work. I carried on digging and I found this post which led me to this post and this command: rundll32.exe keymgr.dll,KRShowKeyMgr which allowed me to remove the offending creds.

  • How can I clear saved creds in IE?

I had a security problem accessing an IIS site I'd created - I was getting the IE credentials prompt. During the process of working it out, I entered my server admin creds and accidentally clicked "Remember my password" and clicked OK before I could stop myself. In order to break the cycle...

  • Re: IIS6, Windows Authentication and AppPools - can't get it to work

I am using IE (v7) and it is configured correctly. In fact, it can access another site on a different server which is configured for Integrated Authentication and an aspx test-page on that server can display my user ID so I know that it's working. (Using this.Request.LogonUserIdentity.Name;)

Is this possible?...

  • IIS Windows Integrated Auth - is it possible to deny multiple logins?

Hi all :) Following up from my previous thread http://forums.iis.net/p/1150483/1874269.aspx#1874269 which is now thankfully resolved, another problem arises :/ Is there a way of allowing only 1 instance of someone using the credentials to access a directory? Example: Say I create a virtual directory...

  • Re: Unusual Authentication Issue

I suffered a similar problem, although with a slightly more complex setup. Authentication to the website, using NTLM, worked fine. But an ASP script then queried a backend resource (LDAP directory in this case). For this impersonation/delegation to work, Kerberos would have to be used. The server, client...
