Problem: Need to disable access to a fast cgi handler for some application pools / sites. My solution: deny user (app pool identity) file system permissions to the executable (php-cgi.exe or php.exe for php4). Strange: if I deny access to the user directly to the executable, all is ok - the fast cgi...

  • Re: No way to pass arguments to the EXE?

Andrew, There is currently a problem with the Technical Preview 2 download for Vista, which is causing the Technical Preview 1 bits to be downloaded. The TP1 bits do not have the arguments support, although TP2 bits do have it and allow you to specify the arguments in the <fastCgi> configuration...

On Vista, you should use FastCGI Technical Preview 2, and on Windows Server 2008, the built-in FastCGI. You can also use the legacy PHP ISAPI although its not recommended...
