I need to restart smtp on a server every 6 hours. Is there a script available for this? IIS 6.0 on Win 2003 Server

I have an IIS 6.0 server with roughly 1000 sites on it with a shared IP. I'd like to disable access to scripts that send via smtp for some of the sites due to past abuse. Is this possible and if so, how? Thanks

Start - Microsoft Internet Information Services (IIS) 6.0 Click properties on the SMTP virtual server. Click on Access tab and then click Relay button. Add the ip address that you want to give relay priviliges. Hope that helps -Fahad

I dont have a firewall up at the moment (livin on the edge) so it couldnt be that. I did check with a hotmail account and smtpdiag ran through correctly, sending a test email to a hotmail account appears to have worked, its not being held in the "/queue" folder of mailroot but it hasnt arrived...

We will have to work on it :) Follow this KB for manually testing your SMTP service: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/286421/EN-US/ Also again, check if you have the right network drivers and the correct network configurations on the server just to be sure... Might turn out to be a silly question but...
