  • Re: Problem with serving WMVs over https

Yessir, the application is exactly the same. However, when our IIS 5.0 (Win 2000 Server) server died, I setup IIS 5.0 on WinXP as a temporary server, and this temp. server exhibited the same lack of functionality (no .wmv over https). • Re: Developer Seeking IIS Help with Authentication Problem

Thank you for your response. The kb doc wasn't really helpful because I believe I'm beyond that point though I appreciate you sending it. The webservice works fine via a soap call from ASP 3.0 when <allow users="*" />. I am unable to secure it however - which is what i'm working...

  • Developer Seeking IIS Help with Authentication Problem

I'm writing to this forum because I think there's a problem with a server and/or an IIS setting. I'm helping someone who has a test machine that is standalone. He set it up himself and he too is more of a developer. All this is to say I'm not sure it's set up correctly. I am helping...

  • SSL 2.0

Are there any known vulnerabilities for SSL 2.0 that would warrant disabling it and only allowing SSL 3.0?

  • Re: Changing "require client cert" on the fly

There is no ideal way to address your scenario. Here are comments to your 3 options and below is yet another suggestion 1) There is no way from the ASP.NET to request client certificate negotiation . If you were planning to move to IIS7 then the new extensibility would allow you to write native module...
