  • WebDAV Security

Hi All, Forgive me - I'm by no means an IIS expert all, so hopefully I'll provide all the details - if not please ask. I'm attempting to setting up a WebDAV to a share, and all is working fine. My user account has permissions to get to that share, and provided I specify my account in the...

  • Can't publish newly created files from local IIS6/FPSE site to remote IIS7/WebDAV site

We have a development server setup with IIS6 and FrontPage Server Extensions. We also have a brand new production server running IIS7 and would like to avoid using FPSE on the new server. Instead, I have setup WebDAV and for the most part things are working. However, there is one issue I can't seem...

  • WebDav 7.5 - Files linked by symlink display incorrectly after editing

In WebDav 7.5 I've been able to get most everything working. There is however one strange bug. We have symlinks in the Default Web Site. When a user edits a file through WebDav (this only occurs with the symlinks not regular folders) the changes are made correctly to the file. However any attempt...

  • 403 forbidden when locking non-existing file with WebDAV

I am working on a server where we want to use WebDAV publishing to edit content, and have set up WebDAV 7.5 for IIS 7.0. However, we have run into a problem with the creation of new files. When creating a new file, our software locks the as of yet non-existent file, writes the file to the server, and...

  • 2008 WebDav and EFS Don't work

Webdav on Server 2008 doesn't seem to support EFS. Even tried R2. If I try to copy a file to webdav server that has EFS on it, it asks to remove. If I turn on encryption on a file on Webdav share, it corrupts the file. Client is fully patched XP SP3.

  • Webdav Realm Authentication

Is it possible to authenticate users as user@domain.tld? We are not using active directory and from what I can tell active directory is necessary to do something like this. I am wondering if there might be another way. There are about 40 different domains that I may need to authenticate against.

  • Re: WebDAV publishing and file extensions

I'm having the exact same problem. Have you found a fix yet? Client: Windows Vista Ultimate SP1 with web folders update (see KB907306). Server: Windows Server 2008 Web edition 64-bit with WebDav Extensions. I've applied the fileextensions and segment filters to the apphost file in the inetsrv...

  • WebDAV file size problems

Hi, I am having problems transferring large files with WebDAV in IIS7. The latest release is installed, but I had the same problem with the RTM one. I tried what is in this post: http://forums.iis.net/t/1150370.aspx , but this setting only seems to control the WebDAV UPLOAD limit (i.e. if I try to save...

  • WebDav and Forms Authorization in IIS7

Could anyone let me know if webdav supports forms authorization. Essentially I am interested in using the in-built support for WebDav in MS Office to allow users of a system we are proposing to edit word documents. My concerns are that WebDav may not support forms authorization although everything I...
