Our requirement is to add advertisements like TV commercials to a main video. I appreciate any inputs on this, mainly the correct platform to...

This is great DREA, I am glad to see you are helping people uncover really cool scenarios. Have you also tried installing Bit Rate Throttling, Web Playlists along with this. Web Playlists would can import client side playlists asx and then give you a single url that you can play from anywhere. Regards...

  • Re: Httpd Urls and web playlists

Thanks, for liking the post as well as helping answer my question. I get your scenario now, we could extend httpd logic to give complete entries or even complete playlists. Do you know how you would use that feature? Do you have a scenario in mind? Also, I am really happy to see you using Web Playlists...

  • Re: Issues with the sample provided

If you are building the managed provider and look at the sample code in the walkthrough there is a Program ID: [Guid("D5178953-96A0-4ebd-B511-024897DA2C09")] [ProgId("SamplePlaylistProvider.ProviderSample")] [ComVisible(true)] public class PlaylistProvider : IPlaylistProvider { IPlaylistInfo...

  • Issues with the sample provided

When you register a register a provider, what is that “ProgramID”? COM GUID? I’m just using that sample which was provided in the site and it has the below: [ Guid ( "D5178953-96A0-4ebd-B511-024897DA2C09" )] I just used the same Guid there while creating a new provider. I’ve just added the...

Hi Jason Could you please elaborate on the optional executable? What exactly are you referring to here. In the current release CTP1 of web playlists, the only way to create a dynamic playlist is by writing an isx file and serving. however, we are releasing CTP2 very soon that will allow you to write...
