Okay. Now I'm baffled. I was poking around MMC/IIS Admin -looking at my Virtual Directory settings, right clicked on it, did an "explore" then a "browse" (which came back as a 404 of course), then back to "explore" and MMC blew up and sent a report to MS. It suggested...
