  • Could not load file or assembly '******' or one of its dependencies. Access is denied.

There's plenty of information out there about this error. I haven't seen anything specific to IIS7. The error is random, but after it happens once, it continues for every subsequent request until the site is restarted. We have 3 servers in a farm, this happens on all of them. We are on 2008 64bit...

  • Memory issue - RegionUsageIsVAD

I have a question about an IIS app that I am running. Each instance of that iis app (not workers) chews up 500MB of memory, which is allocated to something called "RegionUsageIsVAD". I did some research on this and it seems like 512MB is the default value for RegionUsageIsVAD in .NET version...

  • Re: IISMANAGER_CRASH IIS Manager terminated unexpectedly.

Hello, I found the answer by trying a hell lot of things. Hopefully it will be of help to others as well. It started off with the error that service unavailable. • Re: Problem with compression and "application/soap+xml" MIME type

It's not really a failed request. The server returns the content without compressing it. I have included 2 request trace file contents (these are verbose). Here's the SOAP 1.2 request trace (application/soap+xml) that doesn't get compressed: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF...

  • Problem with compression and "application/soap+xml" MIME type

For some reason when I register content (MIME) types with the "+" symbol, the IIS7 compression handler does not compress the response. For example, I wrote a WCF service to invoke that exposes SOAP 1.1 and SOAP 1.2 messages. IIS7 correctly compresses the response for text/xml (SOAP 1.1), but...
