Starting with IIS

hi, i am a beginner in IIS & ASP. any steps/tutorials to get started? i have a .asp file in wwwroot but when i go there in my firefox 2, it says Unable to connect, then sometimes it gives me file not found, error 404 etc. i think i need to set up some settings, what are they?
