Probably a very simple question, why would the login work from the browser on the web server but not from a client machine?

I am using certificates for authentication. Everything was working normally until recently. Now when an https address is accessed on my server through IE everything works, but in Firefox the page does not load and no error is reported. How can I debug this? Thanks, Moses
