  • Protecting static content on IIS7 in Classic Mode

Hi, I know how to protect my static (HTML) pages in IIS6, and how to do it using the IIS7 Integrated Pipeline, but how can I protect my HTML pages from unauthorised access in IIS7 when running in Classic Mode? It's an ASP.NET site using forms authentication. Thanks!

  • Re: FastCGI does not pass PHP error to syslog (windows event log)

  • Re: SMTP relay to SMTP

OK I cracked it ! I had to explicity tell the server that it was allowed to forward mail generated by itself. So in this case: Server 1 forwarding to server 2. Server 1 had to have 127.0.0.1 in its allowed list in the relay settings. I don't remember it being that way in previous versions, but hey...

@ Paul. Good advice. Thanks. I did that and it connected. Still unsure now what the issue could be though. I can only assume that I must have configured something wrong. Hmmm ...... Guess that's my task for the day. Firewall, etc Any ideas welcome. Regards Dave

  • Re: SMTP relay to SMTP

Hi again, So I checkded the settings according to the link you gave, added [] in case it was timeing out or something no luck. So, logic says that I should be able to send mail without doing any forwarding if I set it up the same as the server that works. Done that, still no mail. I have un-installed...
