  • HTTPS hostnames

I am trying to setup multiple SSL protected websites on one server so that: https://www.mydomain.com/ will only go to Website 1; https://asdf1234.mydomain.com/ will only go to Website 2; etc. I know i can use a wildcard (*.mydomain.com) certificate and setup hostnames but I would prefer individual certificates...

  • Not displaying image in IIS 7

Ok, I'm beyond frustrated. I have an application that displays another aspx page as an image for a button. This page (MapDisplay.aspx) displays a custom map which is rendered on the page by saving it to a memory stream as a PNG image. This page is then used as the image source for the button. This...

  • Re: SMTP relay to SMTP

OK I cracked it ! I had to explicity tell the server that it was allowed to forward mail generated by itself. So in this case: Server 1 forwarding to server 2. Server 1 had to have 127.0.0.1 in its allowed list in the relay settings. I don't remember it being that way in previous versions, but hey...

Now the host is telling me that they aren't blocking port 25 after all. They said that they had already opened it up for us on our vlan. @Paul - I know that they weren't being mean, I know it's best practice etc etc. I was just frustrated when I wrote that ! lol So end result is that I am...

  • .aspx file changed, but server still using older version

Hi all, Total MS newb here, first time trying to set up a Winbox as any kind of server. Be kind... The goal is to add ASP and ASP.NET scripting options to existing web hosting accounts that are entirely UNIX based (yes, we've used mod_mono, and it works, but would prefer a full ASP platform). Because...

  • Re: SMTP relay to SMTP

Hi again, So I checkded the settings according to the link you gave, added [] in case it was timeing out or something no luck. So, logic says that I should be able to send mail without doing any forwarding if I set it up the same as the server that works. Done that, still no mail. I have un-installed...

  • Re: SMTP relay to SMTP

Hi, Thanks for the responses. @Paul - I don't have an external SMTP server to forward to but thanks for the idea. @Steve - Thanks for your reply. I thought I should be able to put the IP address of server 2 in the smarthost on server 1. It says the domain name isnt valid. I dont have a specific domain...
