FastCGI Extension is specific for PHP?

Hi All, I am new to FastCGI. I am glad to know that IIS is provides FastCGI extension. But I have doubt that "Is this extension is specific to PHP?" I am about to write an C++ CGI application using FastCGI. I meant using FastCGI guidelines. How this extension would help me out? Thank in Advance

Multiple Undefined variable errors in PHP

Can not get pages from folders/files in WWWROOT to load in IIS7. Get '500 - Internal server error.'
