  • FastCGI/Perl/IIS debugging nightmare with error -2147467259

I've been working for days trying to get a Catalyst-based Perl application running under FastCGI/IIS. So far, it seems like a total black box. I know it is possible, as a trivial FCGI script works OK - the question is: all the error I ever get, no matter what else I try, is: Error Details: The FastCGI...

  • IIS 5.1 or IIS 6.0, FastCGI and Perl Configuration that Works.

After spending a good bit of time with Google and through trial and error I have found a configuration that appears to support perl using FastCGI on IIS 5.1 and IIS 6.0 using MS's FastCGI Extension for IIS6.0. I have tested it out on a limited basis using both IIS 5.1 on WinXp and IIS 6.0 on a virtual...

  • Re: FastCGI Perl

  • Re: ODBC Connection to SQL Server Fails - Perl, Fastcgi, IIS 6, Windows Server 2003, 64 bit

It turns out that the problem is probably due to the 64 bit DBD::ODBC. I had no trouble with the ODBC connection with the same system installed on a windows server 2003 32 bit. A new problem is that fastcgi (32 bit) is losing the Set-Cookie headers so my session cookies are not working. Does anyone know...

  • ODBC Connection to SQL Server Fails - Perl, Fastcgi, IIS 6, Windows Server 2003, 64 bit

My Perl program connects to SQL SERVER via ODBC without any trouble from the comand line and straight CGI, but it fails with the latest fastcgi downloads: DBI connect('XXX5_client_user1','XXX',...) failed: [Microsoft][ODBC SQL Server Driver][TCP/IP Sockets]General network error. Check...

  • Support for other application frameworks

Hi, The addition of a FastCGI handler for IIS is great news! What's the likelihood of support of application frameworks (such as Perl, Ruby on Rails etc.) other than PHP? We use ActivePerl from ActiveState with IIS6 already, and would love to be able to use FastCGI for a lot of the applications we maintain...
