  • Re: Can arr be used as a reverse proxy for Oracle

ARR can only proxy HTTP/HTTPS protocols. So if Oracle has a web service interface, then ARR can proxy it - otherwise, it is only for HTTP/HTTPS.

  • Access "Monitoring and Management" data from APPCMD or PS

Hello, I would like to know it there is a way to get access to the data displayed in the Monitoring and Management page of a server farm. Specifically I'd like to get access to the Availability and Health Status columns. On the documentation site there are some examples to setup the config but nothing...

  • Re: ARR and Smooth Streaming disk cache

In ARRv2 Beta1, the disk cache does not cache the responses result from requests with query strings. This decision was made for a number of reasons for beta1. In beta2, we will be adding additional features to make this possible. BTW, the query strings in smooth streaming requests are mostly optional...

  • Re: ARR and Smooth Streaming disk cache

In ARRv2 Beta1, any requests with query string are not being cached by the disk cache. So I suspect that your SmoothStreaming requests may contain query strings. Could you confirm?

  • Recipe for proxying http requests to different port on same machine

I apologize if this is an elementary situation, but I've been banging my head on it for a couple hours without success. This has been mentioned on the forum before, but I don't see explicit directions on how to accomplish this. We have a mail server with its own web server (for webmail) running...

  • Re: SSL handshake problems with Apache

Chaps, I've tried it out with SSL Certificates on OAS server which matched both the full and short physical server name but the 502's still won't go away ! In an attempt to get to the root of the problem I'm avoiding ARR and now using a simple URL rewrite rule with the short certificate...

  • Reverse Proxy to a different WebApp on the same machine

We are running SharePoint (WebApp1) and a standard ASP.NET application (WebApp2) on the same server, and want to expose these two apps on the web using a single domain/host header with transparent mapping between the applications depending on the path. Can ARR + URL Rewrite be configured so that: 1....

  • Re: 302 Object Moved

I think the following blog article will help you with how ARR leverages the URL rewrite rules for determining when and how to route traffic, including SSL offloading. The blog article was written in the context of ARR CTP1 release. In ARR RC release, we tried to simplify this via the UI, but the idea...
