I created a site in IIS 7 on Windows Vista for a web site located on a mapped network drive. That network drive is a Mac directory mapped on a drive on the Vista pc. The files are accessible. But when I go to the site the browser returns an error (http error
500.19): "The requested page cannot be accessed because the related configuration is not valid." IIS seems to be looking for a web.config file in that mapped drive. I tried to create a virtual directory under that site to access the files, but this returns
the same error. What are the steps to create a site where the files are on a mapped drive?
If I have files in a Mac directory networked to the Vista PC what are the choices, other than copying the entire directory, to make a site from these files?
