Wordpress Slow DNS resolution

Hello,

I have a Windows 2008 server configured as both IIS & DNS server.

HTML & ASP sites are running fine, but when connecting to Wordpress sites running on the server, DNS resolution takes longer than usual.

What can be the problem?

Moved your post to PHP forum for better visibility... Are all your bindings pointed to the same IP ... same DNS? I cant think of a reason as to why an application on top of IIS would make DNS resolution slow.

Hello,

You have IIS Server & DNS server for Windows Server 2008 Configured.

The Wordpress is taking long time for DNS resolution strange have you checked the Firewall port 3306 ?

Check the MySQL Server configuration files also check file C:\Windows\system32\drivers\etc\hosts .

What other DNS Settings do you have configured ?

Hello,

You installed Wordpress:"MySQL Server PHP IIS 7"-Runnng on WIndows 2008 Server.-You have many places that migh be a problem.

You may have Network problems for DNS Resolution

use Wireshark look at the Traffic http://www.wireshark.org/ while connecting to the Wordpress site.

The MySQL Server http://learn.iis.net/page.aspx/353/install-and-configure-mysql-for-php-applications-on-iis-7-and-above/ check

the settings and configuration for PHP.

Install PHP Manager http://www.iis.net/community/default.aspx?tabid=34&g=6&i=2007

to check and test the PHP settings and configuration http://learn.iis.net/page.aspx/944/using-php-manager-for-iis-to-setup-and-configure-php/

http://learn.iis.net/page.aspx/280/install-wordpress-on-iis/ Wordpress Install for IIS Server.

Have you checked the previous suggestions ?

Have you checked the suggestions ?

hello,

I couldn't solve this problem, so I installed linux on hyper-v. now everything is working fine.
