Hi, I have 2 Win2003 servers configured with Network Load Balancing in Multicast mode and converged. Each server has 2 Network cards and second NIC on both servers is networked locally as well. Obviously the Virtual IP address has been added to TCP/IP networking
settings. I also added the Virtual address to IIS using httpcfg tool. My problem is that as soon as I add the Virtual IP to IIS Manager for it to listen, that website stops responding. The Virtual IP is listed in the Drop-Down box of Website properties so
it knows about its existence, but it's just stops the website as soon as you select that virtual address. I tried to configure websites on both servers to respond to ANY available IP addresses, but IIS wouldn't respond to that neither. Note: when I address
both servers using their own individual IP addresses, then websites on both servers are responding properly. What am I missing? Please help.
I uninstalled NLB from list of Network settings, and reinstalled again, but this time I configured everything manually using Properties of the network, instead of using NLB Manager.
Now, everything is working.
