we need the XSL(T) feature for a PHP app running on IIS.
After installing PHP via Web PI 2.0 everything works fine but XSLT support is not loaded when looking at phpinfo().
Our windows box runs Vista Ultimate.
What we tried so far:
- enabled the extension in php.ini: extension=php_xsl.dll
- extension dir is set to:
; Directory in which the loadable extensions (modules) reside.
extension_dir ="C:\Program Files\PHP\ext\"
- have copied a copy of php.ini to c:\windows
- even copied php_xsl.dll to sytem32 folder because someone suggested that
STILL xsl support is not coming alive. WHAT else has to be done? Any help is appreciated!
Note: we had a ISAPI version of PHP installed on the same windows box before and hand-installed php. On that installation xslt worked like a charm. And we actually did not more other than described above. Does the Web PI leave something inportant away in
order to make xsl part of the installation?
Please advise. Thanks!

Please un-do what all you have done. It is damaging and can lead to further confusion. XSL extension is very much part of PHP MSI. Just follow the instructions at
Another word of caution, the extension XSLT is no longer bundled with PHP5 and so please use the extension XSL.

This is a very old thread and Don will not likey be answering.
FYI: Don is no-longer part of the IIS Team and AFAIK is not replying to old threads.
If your having problems with with the PHP engine and installation have you looked at the
IIS Net Guides
http://learn.iis.net/page.aspx/24/running-php-applications-on-iis/ for PHP configuration and extensions ?
If your installing the PHP Engine version for 5.3.8 from the archive / zip file with Web Platform no Windows Installer or MSI Package exists
at this time.
If your having problems with the xslt extension have you checked the PHP on-line manual
If your having PHP install problems for extensions and configuration open a new thread with your system information and problems.
