I have deployed an ASP.net application to a production server which is Windows Server 2008 64 bit. the application uses its own Application pool Integrated mode with "32 bit applications" enabled.
Today the web server suddenly stopped serving the application. The error logs contain this warning:
A worker process '#' serving application pool '#' failed to stop a listener channel for protocol 'http' in the allotted time. The data field contains the error number.
Restarting the server resolved the issue but we want to identify its root cause so that this issue does not arise again.
Can anyone help me with this? is it and error or an indication that something is wrong?
Thanks in advance,

Does this happens automatically? Why is this happening? can i do something to prevent it?
My production server gets down because of this.
