    error code -2145318902

    Hi All,

    When I tried to start IIS from the Services list, I get follwing error. I have no clue about this error.
    Error:

    Windows could not start the IIS Admin Service on Local Computer. For more information, review the System Event Log. If this is a nin-microsoft service, contact the service vendor, and refer to service-specific error code -2145318902.

     

    Please advise

    Under some scenarios, such error message indicates corrupt machine key or IIS metabase. So if possible, open a support case via http://support.microsoft.com.

    Try restoring from a metabase backup first.
