    IP, Port and Site

    Hello,

I am using IIS7 to create sites.

I need to create two sites. I know that I need to give an IP to each one.

But when having only one IP I think I need to define different ports for each one. Correct?

    Site 1 > myIP:80

    Site 2 > myIP:81

    Is this correct?

But how do I create the ports?

And where can I check which IP's I have associated to my system?

I know I have 4 but I would like to check what are they associated to or if they are free.

    Thanks,

    Miguel

You don't "create" them, you simply assign them in the bindings for the site.

In the properties of your network card, check the Advanced section.

    Re: IP, Port and Site

    Hello,

I also added a DNS Zone on DNS Manager. Maybe the problem is there?

To use the ports I suppose I need to add something there or not?

What do I need to define for each site in DNS?

    Thanks,

    Miguel
