    Indexing service

We are hosting a few classic asp websites on a 2003 server running IIS 6; we are trying to squeeze a little more performance out. Is there any reason indexing service should not be disabled? If not, would disabling free up resources and help increase performance?

Are you using it as a search engine for your site?

It might and you won't know for sure until you test it, but I would be surprised if this actually made much of a difference.

Not being used for site search. Not sure how or how long it has been enabled....Just trying to follow "do no harm" before disabling.
