    users cannot log in

     question

im trying to create an ftp server with iis 7.5 and i keep getting the same error over and over

    530 User cannot log in.or

530 User cannot log in.home directory is inaccessible

so far i have 5 made users in local user and made group ftp users

i have given permission to all users, i have given security to all on the home dir it self

even got it so far that i have "everyone" in map home dir

so im in the blue here

could someone help me cause the iis help files are not healing me at all

     im using vista ultimate

i want a ftp server with tree structure

meaning me as admin over the ftp server

    then 5 or 6 users

they have to log on with name and pwd

they only can see the spec map in home dir

    ex.C:\inetpub\Ftp Root Dir\albert

and so on C:\inetpub\Ftp Root Dir is the home dir of all

    Re: users cannot log in

Since you are using Vista, I think you are using IIS 7 with FTP 7.5. Right?

Please review our step by step guide here,

    http://learn.iis.net/page.aspx/305/configuring-ftp-75-user-isolation/

You can also get procmon to trace where IIS is sending the user to, and why the access failed.
