  IIS installs but no icon doesn't run Reply Contact I added IIS to a computer that originally didn't have it installed.  The OS was originally installed w/o it and the OS was installed as XP Pro service pack 2 and then updated to service pack 3.  The first time I installed IIS it worked fine.  Next day it was gone!  I reinstalled several times now and there is no icon and the service is not running.  Any ideas on where to go with this?   Thanks.

  silversteed Joined on 10-14-2009, 11:48 AM Posts 2	Re: IIS installs but no icon doesn't run Reply Contact  The one thing that sticks out in my mind is that I have TrueCrypt on my machine.   I did also notice that there is a directory ("Restore") that I haven't used.   I looked into the Restore that is on this laptop and that software is not installed and only runs to restore a file from the Recycle Bin.  So this shouldn't be a problem.
