    Regular Expression for EVT

     Hello,

I am trying to parse the Event Log for a regular expression, say a website address or the credit card number etc. I have the reg ex but can't figure out how to write the query to use it.

    Thanks in advance

     Hi Joe,

Sorry I am new to Log Parser. I tried to follow the steps outlined in the article but was unable to create a query for the Event Viewer. The example talks about parsing customs logs from a txt file. Here I want to pull out info from the Event Viewer. Could you please help?

I have set up the Log Parser Lizard as described. I have selected 'RegEx Input Format' in the drop down. This does not recognize "Select * From Application". If I change the drop down value to Windows Event Log, I am not sure how the RegEx would be evaluated.
