I am working with a ASP.NET site in IIS7 in Windows 2008, There is a page 'Default.aspx' under the folder 'admin' of the web, I already deinfed 'Default.aspx' in 'Default Document' section
But the error '404 - File or directory not found.' occur when I access the URL
http://www.xxx.com/admin, while there is no problem when change the URL to
http://www.xxx.com/admin/ (a '/' in the end), or
Anyone have ideas for my question?

Do you have any Wildcard mappings or URL rewritting implemented?
Is the /admin directory set as an application root?

In fact I developed a .Net webiste located in folder c:\www, and I set this as an application root and define 'Default.aspx' in Default Document section, and there is a file Default.aspx in c:\www. The result is I can access the page via the
http://127.0.0.1 or http://127.0.0.1/
However, there is a subfolder 'admin' under c:\www, and there is another Default.aspx in this folder, but error 404 will be returned when the URL is
http://127.0.0.1/admin and it is ok when the URL is http://127.0.0.1/admin/
Any idea for my case?

One more finding is that there is no such problem when moving the web to the server using IIS 5.1

Use failed request tracing to troubleshoot this further.
