I have installed IIS 7.0 on a Windows 2008 server
I got the following error when I try to open url http://localhost (directly from the server). HTTP Error 503: the service is unavailable.
The event applikation log report this error:
Event ID: 2276 Source: iis-w3svc-wp
The worker Process failed to initialize correctly and therfore could not be startet the data is the error.
The event system log report this error:
Event ID: 5002 Source: WASApplication pool 'DefaultAppPool' is being automatically disabled due to a series of failures in the proccess(es) serving that application pool.
Any suggestions how to solve this :)

Do you have more entries like this, there are probably additional errors telling why the DefaultAppPool did not start.
Is this a 64 bit machine? I'm wondering if there are any 32 bit modules trying to be loaded by a 64 bit pool.

It's a 32 bit machine. Got some additional errors:
System event log: Event 7031 Source: Service control Manager Eventlog Provider
"The web management service service terminated unexpectedly"
Application event log: Event 1110 Source: .Net Runtime Optimization Service
".Net Runtime Optimization Service (clr_optimization_v2.0-50727_32) service manager returned a fatal error (0x80004002). Will stop service
