    W2k8 + Sharepoint 64bits error

Hello. I installed 64bits Sharepoing in W2k8 and get the folowing parsing error. I can't find that registry entry so I don't have more details. Is there a problem because it's 64bits ??

    Thank you!

    Re: W2k8 + Sharepoint 64bits error

it's partialy solved copying some DLLs from

    C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\Web Server Extensions\12\ISAPI

    to

    C:\inetpub\wwwroot\wss\VirtualDirectories\27075\_app_bin

after that I had to raise the trust level to medium... but still it's not working... (no error now)

When I try to access Sharpoint Central Administration (Sharepoint 64 with SP2) I get this error in the event viewer (the URL gets redirected to .../_layout/error.aspx which is a totaly blank page):

The description for Event ID 8214 from source Windows SharePoint Services 3 cannot be found. Either the component that raises this event is not installed on your local computer or the installation is corrupted. You can install or repair the component on the local computer.

A request was made for a URL, http://localhost:2222, which has not been configured in Alternate Access Mappings. Some links may point to the Alternate Access URL for the default zone, http://servername:2222. Review the Alternate Access mappings for this Web application at http://servername:2222/_admin/AlternateUrlCollections.aspx and consider adding http://localhost:2222 as a Public Alternate Access URL if it will be used frequently. Looking at the event log, I'm getting this when I try to access the central admin page:

Yes I am seeing this unexplained error on some test sites I have created today. http://[ip_address]:82. Have you managed to resolve this?.  This is so annoying everytime I want to do something on this Sharepoint farm something breaks which needs fixing.

     Cheers

    Re: W2k8 + Sharepoint 64bits error

I don't have that enviroment anymore so I can't check, but in my case I think there was a DNS error and I had to set the IP address on the alternate mapping.

Can you access to the central admin to try and fix it from the alternate mapping page?
