First Time user Struggling with Logparser

I'm trying to setup log parser to save a list of errors from the system & application event logs into a file for only the current day. I don't really care what kind of file (csv, txt, xml). I just need this output file so I can my script to e-mail me the file. Don't have a lot of time to play/learn this as everything is in disaray. Please help

    Thanks

What problem are you having doing this?  Did you grant permission to the event logs for the user running LogParser?  Are you just looking for the syntax?  Have you looked at any samples?

What OS are you running? I think logparser can parse evt files but doesn't handle evtx format which is used in Vista and Win2K8. Handling evtx will probably require an extra step to change evtx to evt using wevtutil.exe.

    Thanks,
