IIS 6.0 and wildcard application mapping

Hi,

We have run into the following issue related to IIS 6.0.

In IIS 6.0, when the wildcard application mapping is configured to aspnet_isapi.dll, the webpage does not work. When the webpage url is accessed, get the following error message "Internet explorer cannot display the webpage". The webpage works when the wildcard mapping is removed. This happens on two of our pre-prod boxes.

Where as this issue is not there in our POC box and the webpage works even when the wildcard mapping is configured in IIS.

Can anyone help me with this, not sure what is causing this issue in our pre-prod.

What kind of page you are requesting for which you are getting error? What is the http error code returned by IIS (find using fiddler or check IIS logs)? Can you provide a dump of IIS scriptmaps when you are getting error?
