    Quick Edit of Metabase

    Hi,

I am converting a webserver to run hostheaders. I would like to do this with as little disruption as possible. I was wondering if it is possible to run a script to edit the metabase file in order to just change the port numbers and add a host header to each entry.

I could completely recreate all sites however the problem I have is that when I recreate them it is likely folder names won't match up.

The other possibility is that I can print out a text file which contains the site url and the corresponding folder name. If I have this I can recreate the sites knowing they will point to the right place.

    Any help is much appreciated!

    Cheers

     Hi,

Thanks for that, managed to get a list of urls. I'm stuck however when it comes to getting the folder information..is there a simple way to list the folders each url is attached to?

    Cheers

     Hi Techchic,

Instead of using those script to set the path you can retrieve the attribute of a site. If you would like to list all of them, you can enumerate the whole site. Those link contains example to show you how to enumerate with scripts.
