    iis 64bit XP

Hi I hope i'm in the right place.

I am using X64 windows XP and i am trying to use IIS with this.  It is easy using 32bit, but i'm at a loss trying to get IIS installed for 64bit windows.

Can anyone guide me on this

    Thanks

    Hi Zeldacat,

Windows XP 64-bit has IIS 6 while 32-bit Windows XP comes with IIS 5.1. IIS could be installed from the same location in Control Panel.

From Control Panel -> Select Add or Remove Programs. -> Add/Remove Windows Components. Then check Internet Information Services (IIS) .

To run 32-bit and 64-bit application, please see this page:

    HI Zhao

Thanks for the reply. I followed through with the help which you gave and it worked fine.

My son, who is a MVP for the c++ forum told me after, that as I will be using Visual Studio 9 I need not worry as it is installed with it.

But at least I resolved the IIS problem first.

    Thanks again

    Regards Zeldacat
