  J_P Joined on 06-01-2008, 11:27 PM Posts 6 J_P	2nd attempt: I am trying to publish my website from iis5.1 on winx pro machine Reply Contact  I am trying to publish my website from iis5.1 on winxp pro machine please advise how to do this.  there must be a million who have already accomplished this and yet I am unable to make it work or find clear instructions. does anybody in the world know how to make this happen?

  Re: 2nd attempt: I am trying to publish my website from iis5.1 on winx pro machine Reply Contact   In trying to publish my website from iis5.1 on winx pro machine   I have  done these steps: --opened a port and verified it is not being blocked by isp --set website to that port in iis mmc  --successfully accessed the site locally through that port --verified the port is listening --enabled  port forwarding steps   Update : problem solved! I was trying to test my on public IP address.  You can't test your own public Ip address.  The testing needs to be done with a proxy server like http://sitesurf.net/
