I currently run IIS6 with Exchange 2007 on Windows 2003 x64 SP2. The problem I am running into is that I want to install php so I can run some pages i programmed myself (not that is really matters, I've run into this problem when trying to connect to an
SQL db with ODBC) but it obviously wont work since php and odbc are 32bit apps. After looking around I found this nifty little tutorial over at MS (http://support.microsoft.com/kb/894435)
and it's true that it will let me use my 32bit apps, the problem comes when I try to connect back to my website or OWA, it just leaves a SERVICE UNAVAILABLE screen in the browser, or a blank screen depending on which asp.net version (2.0.50727 or 1.1 respectively)
I have installed. I have looked everywhere and it seems that no one else wants to run IIS in 32bit mode and OWA at the same time, any help on this issue would be greatly appreciated!

Unfortunately you can't run 64-Bit and 32-Bit applications side-by-side on Windows Server 2003. It's either or. On Windows Server 2008 we support side-by-side 32-Bit and 64-Bit Application Pools. More details if you search for Enable32BitAppsOnWin64.
Hope this helps.

So what do you recommend then for running PHP on this server?
