First time here.
I am trying to learn .net, asp.net using visual studio 2008. Some of the labs requires installing
IIS 7.0. I have not found the download link for IIS 7.0.
Is this available for free? My OS is Windows XP Media Center Edition W/SP2
I appreciate your help.

You can't download IIS 7, it comes with Vista and Windows Server 2008. XP has 5.1.
Congrats in wanting to learn .NET, asp.net with vs 2008. You'll have to purchase a copy of Vista to get IIS 7. Or if your company has an MSDN account, load yourself up a copy w2k8.
One suggestion if you temporarily need IIS 7, download an evaluation copy
Download Virtual PC 2007, which is free and load the trial software. You can dev on XP and test deploy on your VPC of w2k8.
