I recently upgrade Vista to SP1 and after that IIS died

Hi, I was having a functional IIS7 under Vista with .Net webpage that I’m developing and a FTP server.  I recently upgrade Vista to SP1 and after that IIS died.  The service was stopped, I restart it but in the console the web server is still not functional and I can’t restart it.

Then I took a chance to uninstall every IIS components (FTP & web server …) and then try to re-install it.  But at the end of the installation I received a message saying that some component couldn’t be installed.  I restart the computer and nothing was installed.  If I install only the FTP, the installation is working but the FTP itself is no longer functional.

So I’m not able to re-install IIS anymore.  Is there a way to fix this?  Or can I uninstall the service pack without risking scrapping my Vista?

Please help me!  I need these servers to be functional.

    Thanks!

Try and uninstall "Windows process activation service" and install IIS after that.
