    Forum improvement suggestions

I do find this forum software a little painful at times.
    A couple of things.

    a) Emailing my own replies.

When I reply to a forums thread/topic from someone else (or even myself) and select the email me of a replies. It emails me my own reply!!!

Obviously I (or anyone) do not want this I know I have replied. I want to get emails about other people replies to what I have written.

    b) Attachments

Could we allow attachments to the forum. It would be useful for people that do not want to/cannot/unable upload images to websites. Restrict files to jpegs or txt if you really have too.
Users requesting help will find this much easier.

    c) misleading forum details

If I select unread, unanswered, my forums, etc to see the latest threads there is a lack of details there and redundant information
     e.g.

You repeat the last person to reply and you don't display what subforum they are in.

     What about

IIS 6 performance tweak guide (draft)

That is what most forum software does, shows the subforum and thread starter, doesn't duplicate teh last poster and it makes life a lot easier.

I have used IIS 7 much at all yet so it is mostly pointless me looking at these threads but I do not know from the descriptions if it is IIS (5),6 or 7

I mean you could just install something like vbulletin and life becomes so much easier. :)

Most overused word in IT is 'should' as in 'That should work!?!'
