Hi,

We have migrated a website running on windows 2003 servers to servers running Windows 2008R2 64bits today and we have exactly the same problem. It's really strange that an OS server could become gold with a webserver were you can't even publish pdf files. Even if the bug concerns acrobat reader, it works with all other web server (apache, iis 5, iis 6, iis 7 ...).

I tried downloading the pdf files from a linux client (debian 5.0) and it works meaning the culpit it probably acrobat reader but even if adobe publishes a fix for iis 7.5, it's impossible for us to ask to our clients (bank companies, real estate companies ...) to update the acrobat reader installed on their computer to use the latest version. It's even more difficult to explain that they can't download documents from our web sites because their pdf clients is buggy but it works for all other web site they consult ?!?).

It's definitively impossible to switch to a web server running Windows 2008 R2 until the web server can't transmit the data to acrobat reader.

I am running Windows Vista Ultimate with no service packs. I am successfuly connected to the internet and I am wanting to try and run a small LAN server here at my house.

I would like to be able to use not only ASP.net but also PHP with my small home sites so I have turned to WPI for a great and easy install of PHP on IIS 7.0 for me.

Now that I have it installed I started it up and there is NO Web Applications tab at all; showing up on the GUI. I am running it on a 1gb RAM , with a 40gb hd on it. I don't know if that helps you but I still can not figure out this problem? Do you think if i update my computer to SP1 that this will fix this problem?

I don't really want to update because of my slow internet conection but I will if you all think it would help me any. Thank You in Advance:)

hi everybody. okay? My name is Leno, I'm from Brazil and I am in my final year of college and a final project that I was writing a paper and develop a project on Computer Forensic Expertise.
I know that the forensic expert is a new area and just released in Brazil, with that I'm having trouble find some materials for producing this project that has a specific theme to develop a tool that assists in forensic research.
   The application itself is how to analyze and capture the different information that users perform on the system by the time they are connected and from there generate various reports.
   About the information we collect in the program are necessary for the registered users in the system.
And any changes that they make the OS, that is, need to know which users are present in the system.
   Anyway to know which files, folders, programs are designed, installed, removed and modified, moved with the time and day, as the user of ez and what their type of permission.

I am researching MACTimes and LOG'S, but I do not know if the Windows OS I need to record this information natively. I know of some other tools that are gathering is, but my intention and search it first in Windows without having to use other tools.
Today I found the tool LOGPARSER you know if I can extract it with the information they need? I look forward ideas and suggestions so you can succeed in this project. Thank you all.

Hi chanshuk,

try this :

Open your IIS >> right click on web site in question >> Properties >> Home Directory >> Configuration >> Add >> in front of Executable enter path = C:\windows\system32\inetsvr\ssinc.dll >> in front of Extension enter .shtm >> Ok

Repeat these steps and add extension .shtml with same executable C:\windows\system32\inetsvr\ssinc.dll

What to do for a rootkit...

I have recently found a rootkit on my computer through AVG and am wondering how to get this thing off. I tried to get AVG to delete it but it said it cannot. I heard you can re-install windows vista and also restore default settings but I am not sure if that deletes everything and I'll have to get external hd and if the rootkit would get itself into there and I'd be re-installing a rootkit. This rootkit is screwing up my xps one it tiny ways, it changed all my security setting and turned my anti-viruses off and I can't turn them back on, messed up background, screwed up start menu and toolbar, and the side panel. I just want to know the best way to get this off computer. Thanks in advance.

Login-Dialog appears (Windows Integrated / IIS 7.0 / Win2008)

Hello,

we have an ASP.NET 2.0 - application (Intranet) that formerly was installed (and worked) under IIS 6.0 with Integrated Windows Authentication. The in Windows logged in user was automatically provided to the application, without the need for the user to log in separately.

Installed under IIS 7.0 (with Anonymous disabled and only Windows Authentication enabled) everytime the web application is started the browser pops up a login dialog.

I checked every setting in http://support.microsoft.com/kb/258063, tried many different settings but the login dialog appears everytime.

Could you please help me to suppress the login dialog and pass-through the Windows-user to the application like in IIS 6.0

[HELP] php_sqlsrv.dll autoload failed on IIS7 + Win7RC + MSSQL 2008 EXPRESS

I got problem about IIS auto-load php_sqlsrv.dll, please help.

Environment:
Windows 7 Release Candidate
Microsoft Web Platform Installer 2.0 Beta
php.ini: added extension=php_sqlsrv.dll.

script:

When I ran the script, I got the error message:
PHP Fatal error: Call to undefined function sqlsrv_connect() in C:\inetpub\wwwroot\dbtest.php on line 4.
I placed dl('php_sqlsrv.dll'); at line 2 and ran the script again, "connected" message was printed, so I can sure that php_sqlsrv.dll not loaded after IIS started.

Is there anyone can help me to let php_sqlsrv.dll autoload when IIS started.

IIS7 + PHP5.2 + (Optional) NTLM?

We have our Web server running IIS7 and PHP 5.2 on our internal ActiveDirectory domain. What I'd like to get setup is NTLM username to be passed to PHP, if there is one.

So that, if a user is logged into a workstation on our AD domain, their username is passed to IIS > PHP so that I know who is already logged in, for SSO. However, if they are not on the domain (eg. viewing from the outside, Web) that nothing is passed to IIS > PHP and there is no login prompt for the user. Is this possible? Thanks
