Is there a max. size of a website being hosted on IIS 6? I have several that are 14+g and they are having permission issues that I believe is related to their size. Is this possible?

Hi,
I have an ASP.NET 3.5 web site hosted on IIS 7. I need to force the "www" in the URL of my site, so that when users access my site using "http://mysite.com", they get re-directed to "http://www.mysite.com" automatically (address is shown their browser address bar). Does this have to do with IIS and URL ReWriting?? If not then how to achieve that?

Hi,

I have my web site on a web farm. Each server with in the web farm has a copy of the runtime. Every time I make a release,

1. I pause IIS on the web server and see that there are no connections and take it out of the server pool.

2. Stop IIS

3. Copy the runtime files

4. Clear all the files in 'Temporary ASP.NET Files' folder

5. Start IIS.

6. Test the web site

7. Add it back to the server pool in the web farm.

Repeat this step for each server in the farm.

Obviously, this is getting very tedious. I scripted MS Deploy so that I copy on one server and the others are automatically synchronized.

But my problem is I want to avoid Clearing Temporary ASP.NET Files. This always requires IIS to stop. Is there a way to automate this process?

Can anybody help?

Unable to access my website via IP address

Howdy. I am using Vista Home Premium on a 64 bit machine and IIs7. I have a website port 80 that displays as intended using localhost. When I try to access this website from the outside using my IP address I get the 'Internet Cannot Display the Website' error. I have opened a port through my 2-wire router to the machine, shut off windows firewall and have tried it with my Nortons firewall disabled, but to no avail. I have tried to set up error logs but the logs are not catching the error.

Any Ideas

How many SPN's do I need? NLB/MSCS

I have nlb groups and multiple sites(each site has own application pool).

I would like to have one account that all the app pools run under.

I couldn't get kerberos working(necessary for remote file-share webroot) using the machine accounts but I was able to with a user account.

Do I need to do this for each site(not machine)?

setspn -A HTTP/website1.domain.com domain\service account

setspn -A HTTP/website2.domain.com domain\service account

Or does that cause the duplicate SPN? If so, do I need a separate service account for each site/app pool?

How do I Move IIS Sites to a new server?

Ok I am trying to move a IIS site that is on server 2k running IIS 5 to a 2008 server running IIS 6. I need to know how to make the 2008 server the main source for the site, so that I can take the older server offline.

Please the Help is greatly thanked. if i need to upgrade to IIS 7 on 08 please give me a good link or the site to do it from.

Still its working for the exsting web sites,

When I create new web site, I am getting the following error.

OS : 2003 Enterprise Server

Service pack 2

Help please.

The error is :

This program cannot display the webpage
