Can anyone help me with the configuration off IIS and Webdav. I would like to set departmental virtual drives using webdav for some of our departments. i am not an expert with IIS and get lost in what processes need to take place and what does not. For testing I have virtual directories under the default site. but can not get anything to open over the web. The best I get is a text base directory structure.

I then told Frontpage to publish the site to an address for the form (http://www.mysite.org/webform.html) . After doing this, first of all the form doesnt work (displays a FSExtensions error message when you click submit button) and then for the real treat.............when publishing this one form to a specific address on my site.......Frontpage completely deleted a shared navigation border (or left junk code) from my entire site. Every page has to be redone now, because Frontpage removed the shared border from all of the pages.

Can someone help me understand why this happened ?

Add hostheader to site on IIS

<cs:applicationKey>configuration__scripting--1</cs:applicationKey>

Hey

I'm trying to add a hostheader to a site in IIS. The problems is that i can do this on my developer machine witch is running Win xp SP2. But when I try it on the online server witch is running win 2003 RC1. I get Access is denied error. By using impersonate I can get administrative privileges to update the IIS.

Error:
Access is denied.
Description: An unhandled exception occurred during the execution of the current web request. Please review the stack trace for more information about the error and where it originated in the code.

Exception Details: System.UnauthorizedAccessException: Access is denied.

ASP.NET is not authorized to access the requested resource. Consider granting access rights to the resource to the ASP.NET request identity. ASP.NET has a base process identity (typically {MACHINE}\ASPNET on IIS 5 or Network Service on IIS 6) that is used if the application is not impersonating. If the application is impersonating via <identity impersonate="true"/>, the identity will be the anonymous user (typically IUSR_MACHINENAME) or the authenticated request user.

To grant ASP.NET write access to a file, right-click the file in Explorer, choose "Properties" and select the Security tab. Click "Add" to add the appropriate user or group. Highlight the ASP.NET account, and check the boxes for the desired access.

Source Error:

An unhandled exception was generated during the execution of the current web request.
