I look at my own sites quite a bit, when I am working on them. This effects the logs.

I would like to be able to somehow exclude my own IP address from the IIS logs, or remove the entries in some automated way. I know some NT shell scripting; could the solution lie in that area?

The IIS server has the same IP address as the machine I am accessing it from, through the internet (using NAT). This problem is made a bit more complicated by the fact that I have a dynamic IP address that changes everytime I reboot the router.

Any ideas? Thanks.

Websites Using Internal IP

<cs:applicationKey>php_community-49</cs:applicationKey>

I think this is an issue with IIS, hopefully we'll find out. Here's my issue:

Setup:

My server is setup with a private IP address. My firewall is set to use 1-to-1 NAT to connect my internal with a public IP address. I've then setup a DNS record for the public address. The server is running 2003 R2.

Problem:

When I access via the dns or public IP, it tries to resolve over to the private IP. If I remove the default document (index.php) and connect (get a list of files on the root of the site), it keeps the correct IP/DNS name, until I click on a link from that page (linke index.php). I can conenct via the public IP off our network through other services (tested with RDP over 3G network). Not too sure what I'm doign wrong here.

Change Site Bindings IP address through script

<cs:applicationKey>iis7_-_configuration__scripting-41</cs:applicationKey>

I need to change the IP address for Site Bindings on all my sites and do not want to click on each of them to do so. What is a script command that I can run to do this?

I am a complete newbie to router configuration (as a web designer =/) so can someone guide me through how to set up Port Forwarding so that it will show my IIS website when I navigate to my ip:80?

By the way, I am using a speedtouch 585 router and i am trying to view my site on the same network. I know this sounds stupid, but I have set Web Browsing Interception to Disabled, so it *should* work.

Many Thanks

HELP! Let me explain...

I am trying to set up an ASP website using IIS on my home pc. I've made the website, installed IIS7, created the website in IIS manager, and pointed it to the correct path on my hard drive. However, the only way to access it in a browser is by typing http://localhost/ or http://127.0.0.1/ (which I'm told are the same thing).

How can I make the website available to view on another pc? i've tried typing my ip address then :80 (which is where I set the binding to), and ipconfig only gives me my 192.168.1. address. Both of these just show me my router config. HELP!!!

Any help much appreciated. You can also mail me at iis[dot]7[at]james[dot]nicholls[dot]freeuk[dot]com. Thanks again in advance.
