I have exactly the same problem...

In a previous Post I asked how to uninstall the 'normal' FTP version which came with the DVD.
With that help I finally succeeded in uninstalling that version.

So I thought everything was clear now to proceed with FTP 7.5.
I downloaded it 4 days ago, on the 22nd of May : ftp7_x64_75.msi
So it's not the 32bit version, but the 64bit version I'm referring to...

Whatever I try, I get the same COM+ 0x80070422 error message described above.
Indeed, the DTC service is running, I even restarted it, and even restarted the server.

I searched all possible web pages with '0x80070422' but no solution relates to FTP.
Therefore I presume this is a whole new problem, may have something to do with the downloaded version itself, may be only relating to 64bit.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

I have a friend whose sister is just starting up in business, we've registered a domain name for her but I also want to add ftp://ftp.nisharts.co.uk to the equation so he can log on using that to upload a web site for her once he has created it, which is why I am using virtual host names but it just refuses to work as stated above.

I want two ftp servers, one on ftp.nwsoftware.co.uk and another at ftp.nisharts.co.uk (both binding on port 21) which is what I assumed Virtual Host Names would do. Is this a Vista issue or are the Virtual Host Names not intended to be used like that.

In other words, on typing ftp.nwsoftware.co.uk I was expecting to be given the root page of that ftp server and typing ftp.nisharts.co.uk the root page of that ftp server binding.

How to publish with FTP7.5 and hide other folders

<cs:applicationKey>iis7_-_publishing-41</cs:applicationKey>

I set up FTP publishing on my default web site using the newer FTP 7.5 on IIS7 on Win2008 Server. I secured it with Require SSL. I can lock down who can read and write to which subfolders(virtual webs).... however, I would like to hide the folders that one does not have access to like I saw in one of the videos. How do I do that?
