I wanted to summarize the issues people have been seeing in the forums.iis.net site and let you know where we stand on fixing these issues.

Logparser forum sorting order: This was an issue with the date field that was set too far in the future on the import. The data was corrected a couple of weeks ago and now updated or new threads are sorted correctly to the top of the forums.

Blank Posts: There is an issue with users posting from IE6 (Pre SP2 XP or Win 2k server) where their posts are showing up as blank. This issue is on our developers machine and scheduled to be deployed on or before 10/23/07 to the site.

Searching Within Forums: Searching within specific forums from the advanced search UI is currently not working correctly. This is also scheduled for a deployment on or before 10/23.

If there are other issues you are experiencing with the forums please leave your feedback below and I will be capturing these issues and letting you know the triage results. I'm sorry for the delay in getting to these issues, but our developer time has been spent fixing other high priority issues with the site so that we can have a better article posting/reading experience, downloads for IIS7, etc. It's not much of an excuse for having these issues linger, but be aware that we have been doing regular updates to the site over the last month and 10/23 is our next scheduled update for forum fixes.

Thanks,
Josh Ledgard - Director - Telligent
