pushing to remote destination:Error: Access is denied. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x80070005 (E_ACCESSDENIED))

I am using 2 networked PC on the same domain equipped by IIS 5.1 and web development tools and remote service is running on both computers.

Its couple of days I am trying to get some of the synchnorization command into work but I have failed such as folloin two commands:

msdeploy -verb:sync -source:metakey=lm/w3svc/1 -dest:metakey=lm/w3svc/1,computername=\\pnt-mahdi,username=momazia,password=Di5gui$eD

Error: Access is denied. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x80070005 (E_ACCESSDENIED))

msdeploy.exe -verb:sync -source:conten

(I run the command as Administrator,username & password are Windows login user ans pass, Anonymous accsess is enabled on IIS)

I tried many syntax and configration but I can not think of any solution anymore. Please assist me with this.

Auto deploy ASP files

Hello everyone,

I want to auto deploy ASP files to live server and back up previous files before replacing them, Can anyone please tell how can I do that using Web Deployment Tools? and Is there any guidline or video to illustrate the steps?

Change Managed Pipeline Mode to Integrated from Classic

Hi,

I have migrated my application from IIS 6.0 to IIS 7.0 with it's application pool.
But I am getting following error

HTTP Error 404.17 - Not Found

The requested content appears to be script and will not be served by the static file handler.

There are two work aroud for this error

1. set Enable 32 bit application to true

2. Change Managed Pipeline Mode to Integrated from Classic

I want to know is there any way through MS Deploy, we can change above mentioned settings or I have to do it manually....

Can any one from MS Deploy Team reply on this?

IIS6 to IIS7 migration

Hi,

We have all our sites on a 2003 server running IIS6.

We wish to migrate all these sites (including app pools, user accounts, ftp details but NOT content to our new 2008 server running iis7 and ftp7.5. Thje content will be migrated first separately. We also wish to replace all IP addresses with a new one.

We wish to do this via the archive/package method.

I have tested the deploy tool and can migrate basic site definitions but app pools, users and ftp accounts don't seem to migrate at all.

Please can someone advise as to what commands we need to use.

backing up site configuration but not sites in iis6

hi,

i'm having some trouble trying to backup my iis6 settings to move them to my new server with IIS 7...

on the iis6 server i'm using the following command in the deployment command box :

msdeploy -verb:sync -source:webserver60 -dest:archivedir=c:\site1archive,encryptPassword=password > -disableLink:contentExtension

when i run this it looks like its backing up all my sites, which is good, but it also starts backing up the files, which i don't need as i'm copying those seperatly...

can anyone please help me with what command i need to use to do this and then to import them correctly into the iis7 ?

also, as the ip address is different on the new server, is there a way of changing the ip address for all of the sites either before or during the import into iis7 ?
