Creating a website that can use resources of another web application in the same solution

Hi,

I have a scenario where in my solution I should have one website and many number of web application (2 to 5) . My requirement is to have the website use the resources of the web applications but when the website is published the website should not have a copy of the resources in the published folder. Is there any way to acheive this. I am using 3.5 framework . Thank You.

User cannot login - FTP Windows Server 2008 R2

Hi all,

i have a little problem... i' using Windows Server 2008 R2 RC and i need to publish via FTP a site. I created the ftp site and enabled it, after that i followed these guides:

but i can't connect to the site using the ip: the error is simple: user cannot login. Why?

Hi Friends,

i am using IIS 5.1 on Xp system,

when i start the IIS , it is giving Error

"the service did not respond to the start or Control request in a timely fashion"

i am Getting Error when i start the World Wide Web Publishing Service,

"Could not Start the wwwPublishing Service on Local Computer, Error 14: Not Enough Storage is Available to complete the operation."

please help me in Resolving these 2 errors .

JavaScript doesn't work in IIS

Cannot get FrontPage extensions 2002 to work

Recently installed fresh server 2k3 Standard with Exchange 2k3. My website and email work perfectly. After I installed FrontPage Extensions the options to enable/configure for my website does not appear as an option when I click on the All Tasks drop down. What could the problem be? I have researched and came across something called IIS Lockdown might be causing the problem...but I never installed. Any help or insight would be cool. Thanks.

FileUpload problem on a FTP server

I created a ASP.Net application in which I am uploading a file on a FTP SERVER.

Its works fine when I am running it from CASINI server (ASP.Net Server). But when hosted in IIS it is giving following error:

The remote name could not be resolved: 'ftp.ServerName' at System.Net.FtpWebRequest.GetRequestStream()
webEx.Response - > System.Net.FtpWebResponse
webEx.Status - > NameResolutionFailure
webEx.Message - > The remote name could not be resolved: 'ftp.ServerName'

On changing the server name with its IP address, following error comes:

Unable to connect to the remote server   at System.Net.FtpWebRequest.GetRequestStream()
webEx.Response - > System.Net.FtpWebResponse
webEx.Status - > ConnectFailure
webEx.Message - > Unable to connect to the remote server

Note: We are already using the Microsoft Firewall Client for ISA Server.
